Planting the Seed for a New Community
If you have a unique passion, a specific study topic, or a local network that isn't represented on the platform, we encourage you to create a custom Circle. Setting up a new community is quick and opens the door for collaboration with like-minded peers.
To begin, click the 'Create Circle' button in the directory, fill out a simple title, and write a welcoming description. You can set the privacy settings to Public (visible to everyone), Restricted (invitation required), or Private (hidden from directories). If you need help structuring your community rules, check out our guidance on [Cultivating a Welcoming and Safe Circle Community](https://www.careercircle.com/help/articles/cultivating-safe-circle).
Once your Circle is active, the best way to invite initial members is to schedule a quick, informal kickoff Signal room. Hosting a live audio session helps break the ice and establishes a friendly, welcoming tone for your growing community from day one.
